     DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 1 - MONTREAL AIRPORT (P.E. Trudeau Airport )
ACTIVITY: SHOPPING

Arrive at the airport and take possession of your vehicle. Welcome to the world's second-largest French-speaking city after Paris. For tonight's accommodation, we have chosen a luxurious downtown hotel, the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth*****. Your Authentik travel book will be waiting for you, with all the details of your adventure including a road map indicating your route, as well as a personalised roadbook, a host of practical tourist information, a toll-free assistance number, vouchers, etc. We wish you a great stay in the land of snow and winter sports!

Did you know that Montreal is the world's largest underground city? Your hotel is located right next to an entrance to this impressive underground world, with its thousand and one shops - perfect to get your shopping done and to purchase your winter equipment. Take advantage of Canada's lower prices on winter gear!

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES IN MONTREAL
Attend a Montreal Canadians hockey match
Guided tour of Montreal
Biodome (eco-museum)
Local haute cuisine (lunch or supper)

Authentik Advice: Do not transfer on to another destination directly after your arrival. The flight from Paris to Montreal, for example, is 8 hours long, and what with the 6-hour time change (at 5 pm in Canada it will feel like 11 pm), you will welcome a good night's sleep in Montreal.

DAY 2 - MONTREAL / MONTEBELLO (150 KM)

Breakfast and the morning off to explore the city. Departure for the beautiful Outaouais region with its vast winter landscapes, 150 Km west of Montreal (1.5 hrs). The scenery is picture-postcard perfect as you approach your destination, the Fairmont Chateau Montebello. One of eastern Canada's leading destinations, Fairmont Le Château Montebello is an exceptional resort famed for its rugged luxury. Here, in a stunning red cedar log château, you'll experience rustic elegance and a warm welcome.
To explore this historic site, what better way than a guided tour by horse-drawn sleigh? Discover the beautiful surroundings of Fairmont Le Château Montebello as your guide recounts its history and provides the commentary for this unforgettable sleigh ride!

During your stay you will have free access to the whirlpool, indoor pool, saunas, squash courts, exercise room and more.

Dinner in the dining room, and your first night in the château.

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES ALONG THE WAY
Lunch in an authentic Sugar Shack
Visit Omega Animal Park

DAY 3 - MONTEBELLO
ACTIVITIES: SNOWMOBILE RIDE AND TOBOGGANING

This morning, accompanied by your Quebec guide, you will set out for a snowmobile ride through the surrounding snowy countryside, where you will discover landscapes of a singular beauty. Return to Fairmont Le Château Montebello for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will rediscover the joy of snow sliding - magical moments await you on the nearby slopes!

Dinner with a local flavour and a good night's sleep at the Château.

DAY 4 - MONTEBELLO
ACTIVITIES: DOG SLEDDING AND ICE SKATING

This morning you will live a dog sledding adventure. With your team of Huskies, you will discover a world of unexpected beauty. You will appreciate the passion of your "musher" (dogsled guide) for these affectionate and impressive animals.

Lunch at the Château.

In the afternoon, go ice skating in the open air, a typical Canadian tradition.

Enjoy a sumptuous dinner by a warm fire, compliments of the Château's chef.

DAY 5 - MONTEBELLO
ACTIVITIES: DAY OFF (VISIT OTTAWA OR SPA)

Make the most of your day off to relax in the heart of Canada's legendary wide open spaces. Or pay a visit to the nation's capital, Ottawa, a mere 75 km away. Why not pamper yourself in Fairmont Le Château Montebello's new SPA, where you have a choice of various massages and baths (payable on site).

OPTIONAL ACTIVITY BEFORE DEPARTURE
Ice fishing

DAY 6 - MONTEBELLO / MONTREAL AIRPORT(150 KM)
ACTIVITY: SNOWSHOEING IN THE FOREST

Strap on a pair of snowshoes and follow the winding trails of this legendary forest; let yourself be lulled by the singing of the birds.

Last lunch at the château then departure for the airport. It is time to leave the land of lakes and rivers, full of stories to tell and memories that will last a lifetime.

VISIT QUÉBEC CITY (OPTIONAL)

Authentik Advice: Count on an extra day for the return trip. For example, if you leave on Day 6, you will arrive in France on Day 7. The return flight is 6 hours long, to which you have to add the 6-hour time change. If you leave at 3 pm, you will arrive in France the next morning at 3 am.
