Authentik Advice: Do not transfer on to another destination directly after your arrival. The flight from Paris to Montreal, for example, is 8 hours long, and what with the 6-hour time change (at 5 pm in Canada it will feel like 11 pm), you will welcome a good night's sleep in Montreal. As well as being more rested, you will be able to do some last-minute shopping for winter gear in the world's largest underground shopping center.
SUNDAY DECEMBER 31 - MONTREAL / LAURENTIANS
ACTIVITY: NEW YEAR'S EVE CELEBRATION
Breakfast and departure for the beautiful Laurentians. For the next few days you will be staying at the luxurious Taureau Outfitters, a hotel complex in an enchanting natural setting. There you will participate in winter activities such as snowmobiling, dog sledding, snowshoeing and ice fishing, and you will have access to the thalassotherapy centre with its many treatments and massages... The meals are sumptuous; haute cuisine with a local flavour. A dream location, situated at the heart of Canada's wild open spaces.

Live the magic of a Canadian New Year's Eve with a NEW YEAR'S EVE celebration organized by Taureau Outfitters. Here is the the evening's program:

This morning, a delicious NEW YEAR'S brunch will be served in the dining room. Today you will sit around a bonfire at the nearby First Nations site and listen to your hosts telling traditional stories and legends.
Various other outdoor activities are planned for this NEW YEAR'S DAY 2007. Dinner and bed at Taureau Outfitters.
TUESDAY JANUARY 2 - LAURENTIANS
ACTIVITY: DOG SLEDDING
Breakfast. Today you will experience winter in its most pristine beauty - by dog sled. At the reins of your team of Siberian Huskies, you will glide through the incredible silence of the boreal forest. Half a day out in the vast whiteness of the land of snow, ice and frozen lakes.
Back to Taureau Outfitters for dinner and bed.
WEDNESDAY JANUARY 3 - LAURENTIANS
ACTIVITY: DAY OFF (SNOWSHOES, THALASSOTHERAPY,...)
Breakfast. Today is a rest day. What could be better than the wide open spaces of Canada to recharge your batteries and get in touch with yourself? Why not explore the area on snowshoes or cross-country skis, like the "coureurs de bois" of the olden days? Or relax and indulge yourself in a trip to Taureau Outfitters' Thalassotherapy center.
THURSDAY JANUARY 4 - LAURENTIANS
ACTIVITY: SNOWMOBILE SAFARI ON LAC TAUREAU
Breakfast. Today will be spent discovering the winter wonderland by snowmobile. Accompanied by a certified snowmobile guide, let your sense of adventure lead you to the middle of the legendary Lac Taureau. With its Arctic landscape, you will be intoxicated by its mythic beauty. Lunch in a typical snowmobile rest stop, then the adventure continues across frozen lakes and exceptional winter conditions.
Back to Taureau Outfitters for dinner and bed.
FRIDAY JANUARY 5 - LAURENTIANS / MONTREAL AIRPORT (220 Km)
Breakfast. Your last chance to enjoy the tranquility of the winter wilderness before leaving for the Montreal Airport to return your rented vehicle and board your return flight, your heart bursting with snowy memories of Canada.
